Notes: Arguably one of the best tracks to appear in a flash, “Black Rose / Green Sun” marked the first time we actually meet Grimdark Rose in all her capacity as well as the death scene of Mom Lalonde and Dad Egbert. It also acts as huge foreshadowing in terms of Rose’s death and the Green Sun.

Haunting with the light notes at the beginning and then violins are brought in (significant of Rose’s character) and then the dull bass added on top of the chorus on voices with an electronic mix to it bring it away from the simple and pure opening into something pounding and driving. It is an incredibly well-done piece and well deserving of attention.

“Black Rose / Green Sun” appears remixed by Toby Radiation Fox in Cascade’s fourth track “Black Hole / Green Sun” a bonus track available with the purchase of Volume 8.

When first viewing the artwork of Shintaro Ohata up close it appears the scenes are made from simple oil paints, but take a step back and you’re in for a surprise. Each piece is actually a hybrid of painted canvas and sculpture that blend almost flawlessly in color and texture to create a single image. The cinematic figures are sculpted from polystyrene while the backgrounds are made from traditional painting techniques.

This makes me so fucking sick. I still don’t understand why ‘fandom bloggers’ feel the need to hate on hipsters. They post pretty things and at least they don’t spam the same person for an hour. Shut the fuck up and get over it.

A lot of things that fandoms claim as theirs have actually been around for far longer than the fandom itself. Just because it appears in something you like doesn’t mean that it’s yours. Get over yourselves.
